Dirty Girls uses three commercial laundries, providing employment for local people. Each laundry is owned and operated by a woman or man who is simpatico with the situation of the refugees. The laundries are not only efficient and washing to the high standards required by hospitals, but each goes over and beyond with extra services.

Huge capacity machines are able to wash a thousand blankets a day.
Further up the road is the the municipal dump, where perfectly good clothes, blankets and sleeping bags would have been taken without the intervention of Dirty Girls.
